Gospel singer Joyce Omondi reveals that her husband Citizen TV anchor Waihiga Mwaura plays an important role in her music career.
The songbird disclosed that her husband helps her compose songs while speaking on Sunday on Citizen TV’s gospel show Bambika.
Joyce launched her new song ‘Naamini’ on the gospel show, and revealed that her husband helped her compose the song’s lyrics.
“I need to give Waihiga credits for coming up with the name ‘Spirit vs Soul. He is the one who wrote the first piece, which is like a spoken word piece,” said Joyce Omondi.

Speaking of her songs, Joyce Omondi said she is usually inspired by Bible scriptures when composing her songs.
“This year I’ve been in a process of being honest with God in my conversations and speaking out what I feel. That’s how my songs have come about. If you listen to my music, they have been consistently based on scripture. When I’m studying and doing my devotions, I get the moment where I remind myself of his word,” said Joyce Omondi.
