Joy Kendi, as a darling she is opened up about how she was sexually harassed by teenage boys when she was having her daily workout routine around her neighborhood.
Sharing on her social media, she opened up on why she has stopped working our on her neighborhood completely after teenage boys catcalled her and touched her inappropriately in her derriere. The teenage boys were seven.
“What happened to me months ago is why I stopped working out in my neighborhood. I was trying to do my regular 5km walk and in the middle of my walk, I saw a group of boys which of course made me nervous,” she said in part.
“The boys decided it would be fun to follow me and heckle me and they thought they would be more hilarious if one of their friends run up to me and grab my [expletive].
It was terrifying they were like 7 grown teenagers and I couldn’t fight them. As women we had those situations where a man tries something and you can’t do anything about it because one or two things will happen. They will want to do it more or they will beat your [expletive] because now they feel emasculated because you have not allowed them to something to you,” she added.

You can recall that Joy Kendi was also robbed at gunpoint in Nairobi a few weeks ago, barely a month back disclosing the same on her Instagram stories the other day.
She narrated how she was walking to Westlands as part of her workout regimen when the sad, unfortunate incident occurred.
She shared her experience with her loyal social media fans to bring awareness to women so that they get themselves in the same spot she was plus of course, it’s best to share such experiences.
“The reason I’m bringing this is because I feel it’s good to share. Be safe when you’re going for your walks or runs especially us females. If you remember I had mentioned that I would be walking to Westlands as part of my workout but on my walk I was robbed at gunpoint by two guys on a bike so if you go do your walks please be safe and don’t carry expensive things,” she shared.
