Jovial has opened up about the one question that people were talking about for years after she left Otile Brown’s Just in Love record label after she was propped up as the best prospect and the flagship artiste of the record label.

Opening up for the first time, Jovial touched on the very first time she got to meet up with Otile Brown who believed in her when nobody saw the potential in her as an artiste.

“I know Otile Brown from way back. He watched my song, he texted me and told me he liked the song and when he came to Mombasa for a show, we met for the first time. He has played a role in bringing up my brand as much as I was around,” Jovial said.

Touching on leaving Otile Brown’s record label, Just in Love records, Jovial who is very happy for Otile Brown changing her life as an artiste by making her a mainstream artiste through working with her on numerous projects said that there were some slight challenges that came about when they were signing their contract noting that there wasn’t any bad blood between them whatsoever.

She also stressed on the possibility of working together even though getting signed on Otile Brown’s record label didn’t pun out the way they had hoped it would in the first place and that’s why they’ve worked together in different songs even after leaving the record label.

“He had signed me after making a proposal that he wanted to sign me, we agreed but we had some few challenges on signing. We did not have any personal issues with each other, I left in peace.

Just because you don’t work with someone it doesn’t mean you don’t see eye to eye, it’s just speculation,” she went on.

Jovial wasn’t so much involved in the car that Otile Brown bought for her right after she was signed under his record label because at that time, she was focused on something else and she was busy with writing new music and promoting herself as a brand to take notice of the car. She didn’t even know how to drive a car back then.

“By the time I was gifted the car, I didn’t know how to drive and my main focus at the time was about creating content, making music, and promoting my brand so I was not focused on having the car,” she explained herself forever putting the drama surrounding the car she was given by Otile Brown on her past.
