Jose Chameleone speaks on Kenyan music heavyweights denying him collabo

Jose Chameleone was the most sought-after musician from East Africa before Diamond Platnumz dethroned him.

However, before Chameleone shot to fame, he used to beg Kenyan musicians for collaborations, and mostly he failed to secure collabo.

The Ugandan singer traveled all the way from Kampala to Nairobi seeking a collabo with the then-hottest hip hop group Kalamashaka, but unfortunately, his mission failed.

Chameleone’s big break in music came when he successfully secured a collaboration deal with veteran dancehall star Redsan.

The veteran singer recently reminisced about those days he was begging for collaborations in a post on his Instagram account.

Chameleone talked about the need for established musicians to offer a platform for upcoming artistes to launch their music careers.

“As a consistent brand of Jose Chameleone the Music man I can hardly forget how hard to break through was.

I approached so many existing artistes of that time in the 2000s to give me a shot by collaborating with me but it became impossible until I did it on my Own with the monster Mama Mia song.

Since then I have been honest to so many upcoming musicians by giving them at least a collabo to kickstart their careers,” wrote Chameleone.

Adding that;

“Again I have brought in another beautiful voice “AGIES BAZANYA” with whom we have collaborated on this “NUMBER 2”.
