She’s since backtracked everything she said about her never wanting to get married.

She says that she was only joking, nothing serious carried her sentiments on that day.

The former Citizen TV presenter said she might have to go on another interview just to clarify that because that wasn’t what she meant and she’s afraid it has been misconstrued to mean something totally different from what she had earlier on intended to mean.

“I jokingly said that I will never get married. This was on an afternoon radio show to which I had been invited as a guest. Can we please move on and not use threats against me/us?

I guess I need to do an interview to clarify what I said in that last one.” Joey Muthengi said via Twitter.

Joey Muthengi speaks on randy Kenyan politician who wanted to eat her guava at all cost

“I am not in a relationship but I am dating. Dating for me is fun, and when it gets to the serious stage now, that’s where I don’t know, I run.

Most Kenyan men you meet want to marry you and have kids, but unfortunately, that’s not in my plan.

Well, I date and I go out, socialize and things like that but me, I’ll let you know from the beginning that that’s not something I can offer so if you want that then I’m not the right person to be with.

Even in the future, I don’t have plans to get married or have kids. If I wanted to get married, I would have because most of my friends who have gotten married and have several kids.

In the beginning, my mom thought it was a joke and constantly told me ill change my mind, but now she is used to it. I’ll just move back with her in Machakos,” she said.

Although my parents are in a happy marriage, they have actually been married for over 40 years, I personally just feel it’s not for everyone.

If anyone wants to get married, then they should go ahead, but I don’t think we are still living in that day and age whereas women, you feel you need to achieve a certain thing and start planning to get married.

I don’t see it as a must. I don’t think that it is something that will add value. I think I have been hurt a lot. Let me just say I have chosen badly; some of them it’s not their fault. I love bad boys, and I love very hard.

Because of this, it is very hard for me to accept that a relationship is over. I’ll cling to you, and that is why I made the decision to keep my distance,” said Joey during an interview on Radio Jambo.
