Gospel singer Jimmy Gait recently took to social media to announce that he will be undergoing a throat surgery in India. He revealed that his damaged throat is the reason why he has been off music scene.
The ‘Muhadhara’ hit maker also addressed his critics while making the announcement, he cautioned detractors not to make jokes about his condition.
“Let them know that there are things people don’t joke around with, which includes health matters. I encourage people to just give me positive energy as I am going through a very hard time,” said Jimmy Gait.

Jimmy is currently in New Delhi, India where he is undergoing treatment at the BLK hospital to find out what he is suffering from. However rumors have been running rife that the gospel singer is battling throat cancer.
An vexed Jimmy Gait took to his YouTube channel to address the rumors, he stressed that he has been undergoing many tests and that people should stop assuming that he is suffering from throat cancer.
“I have been having a throat problem for a long time and was not able to get a cure back at home. Last five days has been test after test. There is a rumour going on social media that I have throat cancer. I don’t know where that came from. We are still doing tests and until the results are out, it’s not right to spread that. It’s already affecting my close people. They are worried about me. Everything is going well and I can’t wait to come back home and I’m believing God that I’ll be okay,” said Jimmy Gait.
