TnT are on the putting in work mode of late, just a few weeks back, TwennyEights and Timmy Blanco who makes up the now phenomenal, dynamic rap duo TnT released a hit record dubbed ‘Start to Finish’ which was followed by their collaborative record ‘Gawa’ with Jovie Jovv and now they have yet a new one dubbed ‘Close to Me’ and this releases don’t include their diss track ‘Barat’ to Barak Jacuzzi.
This time around TwennyEights does the hook with remarkable lines on there talking about how it’s not funny when the police are involved in any situation whatsoever
sipping dirty plug been ripping me off/ getting money and proceeded to ball/ it ain’t funny when police is involved ~ an excerpt of TweenyEights’ hook of the ‘Close To Me’ record even though some of the words can’t be heard quite well since the autotune is somewhat way off.
Timmy Blanco who was featured on Khaligraph Jones’ debut album ‘Testimony 1990’ on the other hand talks about how he will always be loyal to his homies and will never change anything for that loyalty and that brotherhood. He also talks about how he decided to chase his rap dream to become what he inspires to be in the rap game, be one the best of best from the African region.
quotable lyrics by Timmy Blanco
I had a dream I decided to chase it
I had to get it got tired to wait
all of my n**gas they know they’re my brothers
and it doesn’t matter if we are not related
so I cannot ever switch up on my broz
not for the money and not for the hoz
TnT together we ready to blow
I cannot wait until we finally on
I had some demons inside of my body
I fought them in silence
ever since we put our bro in the ground
I’ve been searching for solace
….
TnT are definitely owning the rap game one record at a time and it’s only a matter of time before they blow up not only in the local mainstream media but regional’s hip hop mainstream, they are as prolific as the South African rap group and family Wrecking Crew which is the home of rappers, Ex Global, Flame, A-Reece, Ecco just to mention but a few who are dominating the rap game today.
