6 mins read

You know not everybody loves to be told the truth, and sometimes it’s usually a tough pill to swallow especially when something you are getting told, it’s the truth and its been told straight up in your face.

That’s what the talented musician, Victoria Kimani had to open up about via Twitter. If there’s something we have learn from her is that she will never sit back and let anyone talk ill or lies about her and she’s always standing for what’s right just like the way she did by defending South African legendary musician, Yvonne Chaka Chaka.

Victoria Kimani is not only a pretty face, she’s the whole package any woman could ever ask her, she’s a model and the face of Maybelline New York, she’s talented, she’s lovable and she has a good heart as well, oh, she’s honest as well but the most important part is that she has the balls to speak the truth even though other people are afraid to.

Victoria Kimani recently took to Twitter to speak the truth about Kenyans who loves to support foreigners other than supporting their own, this is something that no other person has had the guts to talk about in the past and we all know she speaks the honest truth.

“I will never stop defending Kenyan Art/Artists …. Some of y’all Gon just have to stay mad forever” she promised via Twitter in part of her series of tweets.

Victoria Kimani talked about how many Kenyans are quick to support and embrace foreigner[musicians] than to support their own even though they only know one or two songs of theirs while they don’t support their own artistes.

“The Kenyan crowd is the best crowd for foreigners to come feel like Stars …. we roll out red carpets, kiss your feet and chant your name …. even if we only know one (1) of your songs in a 30 min set….” one of her series of tweets read.

It’s about time we start to appreciate and value our own, I know there are talents everywhere across the globe but we all know Kenya has some serious rappers, singers and entertainers as well and they need our support as much as we support other foreign artistes.

Victoria Kimani might have made some enemies telling the truth because she had the big balls to tell the truth but it needed to be told and it’s somewhat rather poetic coming from her since she’s known for being bold, vocal and courageous to speak about what is right from wrong regardless of what other people thinks about her.

Her tweets were really something else, they hit the nail to the head and one day the music industry will come to understand the powerful message that she is talking about and the agenda she’s proudly pushing, one day the music industry will thank her big time.

It’s about time we get to support Kenyan music and appreciate our won, it’s simple, let’s simply play Kenyan music or we die, let’s enable our artistes to drive sleek, expensive cars just like other artistes in other countries are doing, it’s about time, let’s stay woke my frens!

Here are the very interesting eye-opening tweets from Victoria Kimani.
