It’s been a year since Genge artiste Lang’ Katalang’ took to social media to condemn celebrated media personality Mzazi Willy M Tuva over airplay “non professionalism”.

However the same artiste surprised Kenyans when he decided to apologize to Tuva just the other day over his previous remarks.

The bad relationship between the two of course came with a number of consequences among them radio and TV media airplay blackout on the artiste and equally a bad name for the presenter.

Tactical Katalang’ probably opted to give in since Tuva’s influential colleagues too turned their back on him over the inflammatory remarks.

Sources close to the Genge musician claim it became hard for him to penetrate despite his overwhelming talent.

The Migori born and raised self proclaimed King in his message of forgiveness went ahead to explain the number of times he had to seek anger management lessons just to ensure he got his music career back on track.

Kenyans were equally surprised hour after the apology when Mzazi Tuva replied by saying he has forgiven K’Lang and was ready to have a sit down with him.

Katalang maintained the apology was genuine and not a publicity stunt.

Here’s the open letter that he wrote to Mzazi Willy M. Tuva

MY OPEN LETTER TO MZAZI WILLY M TUVA AND K’LANG FANS.

Mzazi I write to you because I believe there comes a time when a man decides to drop his ego and ask for forgiveness from fellow men he might have done wrong to. Today that man is me.

Truth is,back then I was angry but I have since made peace with myself concerning my musical journey.

I’m not extending my handshake to you in cowardice but with utmost courage so that at the end of it all we get to forge ahead . Same goes to other hardworking radio and Tv Presenters in this country.

My elder brother I know there are quite a lot to speak about when it comes to matters radio and Tv airplay with regard to Kenyan Music Industry and its loose ends but then again we can discuss these with sobriety.

It is my humble request that you accept this apology also for the sake of fellow promising artistes who might have missed on greater opportunities out of my aggression.

The few months I have been through a series of Anger management lessons both from experienced friends and my team Producer Morbiz and My legal advisor all inclusive. Asante sana Morbiz Sheriff kwa kunipa nafasi ya kujirekebisha.

No man is perfect and that is why I would not wish to make further steps in my career without repairing the damaged bridges.

To all the other Media stakeholders who have in one way or another developed heavy heart on my brand, once again I say ‘mnsamehe na tuendelee na kazi’.

From now henceforth am ready to learn more than teach, plus to listen more than talk. And most importantly to appreciate more than complain.

May God bless our music industry as we gear up to engage more on constructive showbiz arguments.

To my fans I might have disapointed back then nawaahidi kwamba mziki ya kupiga kifua imeisha toka leo.

YOURS TRULY K’LANG

Whether the two have met, no one knows. All we know is that Katalang’ did release a brand new video for the song ‘KA ZOTE’, a song released in 2016 courtesy of Producer Symo on the Beat under the Alka Productions and Vekta Kenya.
