Former renowned child actor Ian Nene popularly known as Almasi, that’s the name he was using on Citizen TV’s Machachari hit show.
Ian Nene has always had his fans, critics, and tabloids on his case. This was after netizens started calling him out on social media for being a member of the LGBTQI community after Nene consistently started posting some rather bold photos where he was subtly making a statement with his fashion.
He has always been on the reserve side when it comes to expressing himself publicly on social media when it comes down to his sexuality but last year, he didn’t hold back at all.
The celebrated actor and Scholar who has since embarked on his spiritual journey for the longest time ever had some things to say reiterating that he believes he wasn’t doing anything wrong at all because he was living his truth and there’s nothing wrong about oneself living their own truth.
“My personal opinion is as long as you are not harming anyone and as long as you are doing your own thing. As long as you are expressing yourself in proper, clean fashion then all is good. I am not just out here to sexually please myself.
This is because I have learned that it’s also temporary and that you can try so hard to please yourself in that kind of passion but it leads you nowhere,” Ian Nene alias Machachari expressed himself on social media year while addressing his sexuality.
A few days ago, the former TV actor introduced the Indian man that he’s been sharing on social media recently as his husband. He took his words back rather quickly.
“Spending some quality time with my husband [two emoji kisses]” the Facebook update post read.
Ian Nene has since come forward with yet another photo after deleting the “husband” status post denying that he’s a member of the LGBTQI community categorically stating that the Indian man was his cultural teacher and not his husband as his earlier post instigated.
“Hello family. I want to make a public apology for the two previous posts. One of the people running my affairs of my page posted stories not true.

3 the photo of the Indians in the picture are nothing but friends.
I decided to remove the author who wrote the two posts for tarnishing my images. Anyway all is good now. I will let everyone know my net move whether I will come to Kenya or Not,” wrote Ian Nene.
