A single trailer caused major traffic snarl up that lasted for 12 hours along the busy Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
The clogged traffic started from in Athi River and stretched all the way to the junction to Machakos town.
The cause of the accident was a trailer will derailed and plunged into a ditch leaving the backside closing the road.
A major traffic built up before the trailer was moved out of the way. Motorists spent 12 long hours in a traffic that was barely moving an inch.
