Huddah Monroe has shared her thought on Netflix reality series Young, Famous & African which has been trending on social media since it premiered on March 18th.

The Netflix reality series features a star-studded cast of the most talked-about male and female celebrities on the African continent.

It follows 8 African celebrities who have a huge social media following and who usually receive intense media coverage across borders.

The reality series follows a crew of famed, affluent stars as they work and play, flirt and feud in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The cast

The celebrities featured include; South African actress, TV host, artiste and actor Khanyi Mbau. South African mix master Quinton Masina alias Naked DJ, Nigerian fashion designer Jeremiah Ogbodo alias Swanky Jerry, South African millionaire, and TV personality Andile Ncube, South Africa-born Zimbabwean rapper Nadia Nakai, Nigerian model, actress, and presenter Annie Macaulay-Idibia and 2Baba. And of course Diamond Platnumz and his baby mama Zari the Boss Lady.

Young, Famous & African has been the subject of discussion on social networking platforms because of the drama seen on the show. Kenyans have been asking questions as to why no one from the country was featured.

Celebrities, blogs, and gossip sites have been asking fans to reveal whom they think should feature in the next season. Most fans said Huddah Monroe would fit the lifestyle and hence a good fit for the sequel of the hit reality series.

But Huddah had a different thought altogether about being featured on Young, Famous & African – she is only interested to know how much Netflix is paying the cast.

Taking to social media, Huddah lamented that Netflix paid Kanye West $30 million for his documentary but noted Africans can’t be paid anything close to that.

“Kanye’s Show Netflix Paid $30M. I have seen many tagging me to be in YRA lol. Haven’t seen as I am on holiday. Curious to know how much they got paid. Africans are Underlooked and underpaid because we love fame more than actually making it. Fame can only feed you for so long,” wrote Huddah.
