UON students have been holding demonstrations protesting over the just concluded SONU elections where Babu Owino won.
However, yesterday brought the horror of just how the police force reckless and brutal in its use of force to quell the demonstrations. A number of students were cornered at one section and made to lie down.
Even after this act of surrender, the GSU officers then descended on them with clubs and sticks whipping them just about anywhere despite the continuous pleas for mercy.
We hope investigations will be done, the levels innocent students went to hide is not only shocking but life threatening.
Surely, the goons carrying out the protests would not have been doing it in class.
I however do not support the rampage and destruction of property, what am saying is than, some innocent young men an women suffered injuries in-justifiably, its awful.
