Hearse ferrying remains of man who didn’t want to be buried at his rural home mysteriously goes up in flames (Photos)

A hearse carrying a deceased to a burial in Kirinyaga was reduced to shell as it mysteriously caught fire along Kagio-Kutus road near Kimicha shopping center.

Onlookers were puzzled when they saw passengers hastily getting out of the vehicle and pulling the casket as the hearse went up in flames.

Apparently hearse caught fire because the deceased didn’t want to be buried at his ancestral home in Kirinyaga. The man had lived in Kisii for better part of his life before he died.

Mourners talked to the dead man before they loaded the casket onto another vehicle and proceeded with their journey to Kirinyaga for the burial.

The fire that engulfed the hearse couldn’t be put out. The shell was left along the road awaiting to be towed by police.
