Our illustrious Nigerian neighbours are the most exuberant of all Africans. They are loud, proud and aren’t afraid to show it. They are like the Chinese and the Indians, they go to a place and their presence has to be taken into account. And oh! They are the most honest people you will ever meet.
They are domineering and aggressive in all they do. It might sound like I am hating but I am actually a bit envious at how much they love their culture. I hope Kenyans could borrow this leaf from them. So to hear that a Nigerian national stabbed his countryman over some money was not all that shocking.
I know, I know, someone died! I understand but that does not change a stereotype that is commonplace. Does that mean that he deserved to die? No! But a plausible explanation is needed for why he met such a violent and tragic end.
The middle aged man was stabbed several times in the chest. Residents who responded to screams rushed to the scene and apprehended the culprit and started beating him before the police saved him. He was then taken to the Karuri police station, as police launch investigations. The deceased’s body was taken to the city mortuary. Neighbours described the two men as secretive and reserved.
May his soul rest in peace.
