Harmonize has revealed that he will soon start singing in English as a way of conquering the international market as English is the world’s lingua franca.
Konde Boy has indicated that this Friday he will release his last song which is composed in the Swahili language.
“Ijumaa hii nitaachia wimbo wangu wa mwisho kwa lugha ya Kiswahili, angalau kwa mwaka huu,” Harmonzie said while pointing out that the content of the song will be aimed at people over 18 years old.
After being severely criticized for his statement that he will stop singing in Swahili, Harmonize claimed that he was still the king of Bongo Fleva and that without him there is no Swahili music.
“Konde Boy ni Bongo Fleva. Bongo Fleva ni Kondeboy. Niite namba moja, hakuna amewahi kunifikia ustadi wangu katika kutuna mashairi ya Kiswahili. Mimi ni wa moto na ni muda wangu, nyinyi jua hivyo. Sapoti yenu na mapenzi yenu yamesababisha hili litokee, tukutane Ijumaa. Kabla uongee pumba kwanza jua unaongea kuhusu msanii ambaye ameteuliwa mara nyingi Zaidi kuwania tuzo za TMA,” Harmonize said.
Last year, Diamond Platnumz and Otile Brown attracted Octopizzo’s criticism after they said that East African musicians needed to tone down on Swahili and sing in English for them to go international.
