Harmonize terminated his 15 year contract with Diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi record label in September this year and went on to start his own label dubbed Konde Gang.
Harmonize, was the first artiste to be signed by Wasafi records about four years ago when the label was in its infancy. The ‘Kwangaru’ hit maker become the second artiste to quit Diamond Platnumz’s WCB after Rich Mavoko made a similar move in 2018.
The celebrated Bongo star was not happy with his contract with Wasafi because a big percentage of his earning was going to the label.

Harmonize opened up about quitting Wasafi in a recent interview with Clouds FM. He revealed that he was required to pay a whopping Tsh 500 million/Ksh 22.5 million to terminate his contract with Wasafi before expiry.
“I didn’t leave with bad blood. There was an issue that we failed to resolve so I told the management that I’m going to do my own music. The contract said that if I wanted to terminate the contract, I had to have Tsh 500 million and the cost of creating all the songs that we did while there,” said Harmonize.
The Bongo star further revealed that he was forced to sell some of his assets as he didn’t have the Tsh 500 million to pay Wasafi to terminate his contract.
“I didn’t have the money, so I sold some of my assets. There is a place I was building my houses, three of them, I had to sell them. I did that because money is nothing. I have sent part of the amount and the remaining one is very little,” said Harmonize.
