Harmonize explains why he hasn’t collaborated with Burna Boy again since ‘Kainame’

Tanzanian music sensation Harmonize has finally addressed the burning question on everyone’s mind: why hasn’t there been another collaboration with his Nigerian buddy Burna Boy since their hit track ‘Kainame’ dropped in 2019?

The Konde Gang boss revealed that while they shared a close bond in the past, their relationship isn’t as tight nowadays.

Harmonize candidly explained that Burna Boy’s meteoric rise to fame and fortune has likely shifted his circle of friends. However, he was quick to dispel any rumors of a fallout between them.

“I’m not telling a lie, Burna Boy is my man but he’s not my closest man right now, he’s so rich. He and I know each other, we have become friends, we have shared good moments together, we have recorded songs that have been released, others that have not been released…” Harmonize stated.

Harmonize admitted that their busy lives and skyrocketing careers have made it difficult to stay in constant communication.

“I can’t sit here and say you know Burna Boy we talk every day, aah no. I will be lying, because if we were talking every day, those shows that fill stadiums, I wouldn’t even go and say ‘sold out’. We are not talking as much but that does not mean that he is not my person, he is not my friend,” he said.

Despite the distance, Harmonize remains optimistic about their future collaborations. He mentioned that when the time is right, they could easily come together for another banger.

“We have met as musicians, we are friends when we meet we will greet each other and we have a plan to release those songs, if they don’t come out there is no problem.”

So, while fans might have to wait a bit longer for another Harmonize-Burna Boy track, it’s clear that the respect and friendship between these two African music giants remain strong. Keep your ears open, because when these two do decide to drop another collab, it’s sure to be fire!
