Gospel singer Audiphaxad Peter Omwaka, popularly known as Guardian Angel, has expressed his wish to meet president Uhuru Kenyatta to discuss pressing issues.
Speaking during an interview with Word Is, the ‘Nadeka’ hit maker said that if he gets an opportunity to meet the president he will discuss with him the issue of royalty disbursement.
“If I got a chance to talk to the President, I would only ask him to find a better way that we artistes can get royalties at the right time and in the right way,” he said.
Just a week ago Kenya Copyright Board (KCB) and Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) came under fire from artistes who accused them of distributing undeserving royalties.
Speaking of his Madaraka Day performance, Guardian Angel said that he was honored to perform for Uhuru. The gospel singer was among a handful of musicians picked to perform during Madaraka Day celebration that was held in Narok on June 1st 2019.
