A league game between Gor Mahia and Tusker played on 16th April 2016 at Nyayo Stadium witnessed chaos after K’ogalo fans thought the assistant referee unfairly awarded their opponents a penalty.

Fumed Gor fans stormed the pitch and attacked George Mwangi, the assistant referee. The match ended prematurely with Tusker being the obvious winners.

The Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee (IDCC) however decided to punish Gor for the chaos witnessed at Nyayo stadium.

In a ruling that was passed this past Wednesday, IDCC deducted Gor Mahia three points making K’ogalo slip from the first position to third.

IDCC blamed Gor Mahia from failing to restrain its fans from causing chaos. Gor fans are synonymous with mayhem especially when they smell defeat or unfair handling by match officials.
