For most people, a trip to the mall is a simple chore—but for Isaac Otesa, the man the world knows as Goliath wa Bungoma, it is a physical impossibility.
The 8ft internet star has revealed the staggering reality of living as Kenya’s tallest man, admitting that not a single item of clothing he owns was bought off a shelf.
Speaking to Oga Obinna on Monday night, February 9, 2026, Goliath shared that from his trousers to his innerwear, everything is hand-stitched by a personal tailor.
“The tailor is the only one who knows my waist size, and he has never told me,” Goliath laughed.
“Everything is sewn to fit my body—even my boxers are custom-made.”

While his clothes are a challenge, his footwear is a financial crisis. Goliath’s manager, Patrick Riangá, revealed that the social media star currently owns only one pair of shoes.
Because standard sizes do not exist for his feet, the single pair he wears—valued at KSh 25,000—had to be commissioned specifically for him.
Riangá used the platform to issue a plea to artisans and brands across the country to help the gentle giant find more options.
“If anyone is willing to make shoes for Goliath, we are willing to pay,” Riangá urged.
“Hii kiatu amevaa (this shoe he’s wearing) is the only one he has.”

Goliath first captured the world’s attention in September 2024 when photos of his towering height went viral, leading to a friendly rivalry with fellow giant Bradley Marongo.
Despite his fame, the “Bungoma Giant” remains humble, admitting that he doesn’t even know his own shoe size because “it simply doesn’t exist” in the world of regular fashion. For now, the hunt is on for a cobbler who can handle the biggest feet in the 254.
