George Luchiri Wajackoyah has Kenyans talking about him after he expressed his intentions of legalizing marijuana as soon as he gets elected as the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya.
Prof. Wajackoyah who is the Party Leader of Roots Party of Kenya noted that it’s about time Kenyans to legalize marijuana even if it’s for medicinal purposes because it’s good for everyone, especially the economy.
The Professor who is well learned and educated from different Universities around the world argues that the European countries have found the importance of marijuana and they’re capitalizing on planting them and making money from it, he cannot find a logical explanation why the Kenyan government hasn’t legalized it yet.
Pro. George Luchiri Wajackoyah blames the indoctrination of Africans through the influence of Christianity that has made them overlook the importance of marijuana.
He disclosed that our ancestors used to use it and they used to live long without any issues whatsoever throughout their lifetime.
Pro. George Luchiri Wajackoyah who intends to change the way Kenyans look at marijuana when he gets elected in the upcoming general elections slotted for August 9 noted that if Kenya would follow other first-world countries by legalizing marijuana, the country will become rich from the sale of cannabis Sativa.
Ever since he went public with his intentions of legalizing cannabis in Kenya, the Professor has since gained traction with support coming from mostly Kenyan celebrities who have vowed to vote for him.

More countries are now decriminalizing the use of Marijuana in Africa with the latest being Morocco.
Morocco joined the growing list of African countries legalizing cannabis. Other countries that has legalized marijuana are South Africa, Rwanda, even Uganda which spent over $264,000 to secure high-quality cannabis seeds in 2019.
Uganda also secured buyers from Germany, and Canada after getting approval from the European Union in 2019.
Other countries that have legalized the commercial use and export of cannabis in Africa are Lesotho, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
A 2019 report by the Africa Regional Hemp and Cannabis indicates that Africa’s contribution to the Cannabis global market amounted to $37.3 billion which represents 11% of the world’s market.
