Gabiro Mtu Necessary recruits one of the most sought-after record producers based in Kisumu, and talented singer, Blakangel on his latest record dubbed ‘Kula Nao’.

The song is about friendship and betrayal and was inspired by real-life events, how friends betray us, how we stay with them but not know they are enemies (kikulacho ki nguoni mwako).

Speaking about the effects of the pandemic on his musical career, Gabiro says, “COVID-19 has affected my music and personal life a lot because I don’t go on tour anymore because of lockdown in other countries, especially Europe where I used to frequent with other bands.”

The established artiste who is currently pursuing his Masters says that he’s more focused on releasing singles for the rest of the year as opposed to releasing a compilation of his records.
