Former Tambach High School Principal Mr. Wilson Ronoh has been laid to rest today, 12 November at his home in Tambach.

Mr. Wilson Ronoh was a well-known figure and an icon in matters of education and leadership in Keiyo Marakwet county.

During his tenure, Tambach High School was one of the best-performing National Schools in the region and Kenya as well.

Mr. Wilson Ronoh was a businessman and after his retirement, he went on to do personal business.

Students used to call him Kimugul.

He was a good man, charming, and very pivotal in the student’s success mentality.

In 2018, Wilson Ronoh was rewarded and given three cows and a brand-new vehicle for his service.

While still serving as the Principal at Tambach High School, he owned a yellow pick-up car, KLZ 515, that he used to patrol the school in and push students to leave the dormitories and head to classrooms; for preps instead of lazying around during prep or class time.

Mr. Ronoh wanted the best for every student. He understood the hardship many students faced at home and thus always asked them to study, excel and be the change makers of their families by working hard at school and aspiring to be great responsible men.

“You can lie to everyone but don’t lie to yourself, you came to Tambach alone and you’ll go back to where you came from alone” was his biggest advice to his students.

Tambach High School is situated in Tambach, close to Tambach Town, in the Elgeyo-Marakwet County, Keiyo North Constituency.

A resident of Lembus Kwen Ward, and a native of Kapng’oech, he began his career as a teacher in the 1970s at Tambach High School, where he eventually became Principal and retired in the early 2000s.

Family, friends, leaders, students, and alumni’s of Tambach High School attended the burial.

His former students praised his leadership and efforts towards making them turn from boys to men at Boma; as the school is famously known in the region.

Our deepest condolences to family, friends, and people of Tambach.

Rest in peace our hero. Rest in peace Kimugul.
