Nairobians will once again get stuck in crazy traffic as the capital hosts yet another international conference for five days.
Just last month folks were grumbling after United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) caused traffic nightmare in the city for a whole week.
A replica of UNCTAD will happen starting Thursday next week as Nairobi hosts the sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD VI) summit.
35 heads of state from across Africa will be attending so expect all major roads in the city to be closed and security heightened.
Parliament Road, Taifa Road, City Hall Way and parts of Harambee Avenue will be off-limits from August 25th to 29th.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will also jet into the country to co-host the summit with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Only cars and authorized personnel with official accreditation will be allowed in the named restricted area when TICAD VI summit kicks off.
