About a week ago, gospel singer Mercy Masika sent out a plea to Kenyans to assist her trace a street boy who perfectly sang her viral song ‘Mwema’
The boy came into public attention after Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko shared the video of him singing on his timeline on Facebook and asked his fans to share the video until it reached Mercy Masika.
Mercy Masika finally managed to trace the street boy to Kisumu. In an interview with Nairobi News, ‘Mwema’ hit maker revealed her friend has since taken in the street boy.
“I finally found him and I met him, he has a guardian. Actually a friend of mine took him in. We found him in Kisumu, and he is now in Nairobi. He is a very charming boy and we just want to nurture this talent that he has in singing.” Mercy Masika disclosed.
