Femi One goes gengetone as she works with Mbithi, DJ Lyta and Boondocks Gang

Femi One recently released the video for her highly anticipated single dubbed ‘Nyoko Nyoko’ that shows her versatile side. The record which was produced by Ilogos Music for Kaka empire studios features Boondocks gang, Mbithi and Dj Lyta.

The song displays her lyrical prowess and is a great addition to the new wave of gengetone that is rocking the Kenyan music industry of late.

The visually simple yet expressive video was directed by Johnson Kyalo. It is the perfect gengetone video with visuals showcasing Femi’s rarely seen dancing skills.

Yes, apparently Femi Uno can dance, she’s actually good at it.

“While working with some of the biggest artistes in the country on the ‘Sondeka remix’, I met gengetone superstar Exray of Boondoks gang and was impressed by his style. I’m a fan of this new crop of music, and the energy it comes with.” Femi One said speaking about the creating of the record and the visuals.

She went on to add;

“Very raw, fun, street and authentic; thus a collaboration was inevitable! Working with Mbithi, Odi wa Murang’a and Dj Lyta on this was also an interesting creative process, and I hope my fans love the work.” Femi One said working with gengetone artistes.
