Esther Ngenyi Musila talked about age shaming after she attended the funeral of her late friend who died days shy of clocking age 50.
53-year-old Esther Musila, who is married to 35-year-old Guardian Angel, revealed this through her that the deceased passed away just a week before her 50th birthday.
Musila talked about how her late friend really hoped to get to the age of 50 but unfortunately, she passed away a few days before she got there.
“This morning I attended the funeral service of my friend. Today would have been her 50th birthday,” Esther Musila wrote on Wednesday January 31, 2024.
She added, “She was expecting this big step in her life, it didn’t happen, she passed away seven days before her birthday.”
The 53-year-old accountant used the opportunity to celebrate old age, saying that life is a blessing from God. She also criticized those who mock others about their age saying she will continue to grow old without regret.
“When people insult you because of your age, do they think that it is God who gives life and not them? I will continue to age gracefully and unapologetically!!,” she said.
