Popular comedian Eric Omondi on Tuesday took to his Instagram handle to mourn his brother who he died early Tuesday morning.
“This is not the last image I would have wanted to post of my brother…but this is the image I want every young person in this country to see.” Omondi said in his caption.
His brother’s name is Joseph Onyango Omondi and according to Eric Omondi his brother died Tuesday morning around 3am barely 12 hour after Eric found him in downtown River road.
“He was addicted to cocaine and other substances and was out of rehab for the past 19 years.” Erick continued in his post.
The post elicited hundreds of comments many who sympathized and mourned with him.
Many of the comments were full of support for the comedian and many of his Instagram followers came out in large number to support him for his bravery to post the picture of his brother and for the support he gave his brother while he was still alive.
“May God himself take charge” Eric concluded in his post as he thanked Chipukeezy and Big Ted for their help
