Eric Omondi has taken to social media to announce that he’s about to vie for the top seat in the Republic of Kenya in 2022 ahead of the Presidential elections set for August next year.
Omondi, a celebrated and respected comedian in the whole of Africa seems to be serious about vying for the top seat after he started pushing for a campaign online dubbed #Fagiawote that perpetuates youth holding power as opposed to elderly people in politics.
“The YOUTH are the STRENGTH of a NATION. When the YOUTH RISE, CHANGE is INEVITABLE!!” wrote on social media a few days ago.

Taking to social media, Eric Omondi to declare his bid of becoming the fifth President of the Republic of Kenya.
Omondi who was rallying behind Jimmy Wanjigi’s Presidency a few days ago urging his fans to throw their weight on the businessman while declaring that the youth will not vote for known names like; Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi because they’ve been in politics for years and what he’s championing for is new faces who will bring new ideas and force in the country.
The Award-winning comedian seems to have changed his tune overnight and he’s no longer supporting Jimmy Wanjigi’s Presidential bid any longer because he’s now blowing his own horn.
Eric Omondi has officially announced his Presidential bid vowing to take over the country to the next level when he gets elected by the youth. The comedian says that it’s the youth who has the power of voting him in because youth voters are currently at 68% and he wants to make sure that the entire government has youth in high places; from the President, Deputy President, Speaker of the House and if possible, all the Member of Parliament offices.
