Eddy Kenzo had a dramatic breakup with his ex-wife singer Rehemah Namakula aka Rema and the lesson he learnt from that experience guides his current relationship.

Rema and Eddy Kenzo were married for five years and they were blessed with a daughter Aamaal Musuuza Malaika who was born on 26th December, 2014.

The two singers publicly announced their breakup in 2019 but Rema said they had parted ways two years earlier before they went public with their split.

Speaking in a recent interview with Ugandan media, Eddy Kenzo noted that the breakup with his ex-wife taught him a lesson about privacy.

According to Eddy Kenzo, he will never bring his family or relationship back into the limelight.

Eddy Kenzo revealed that he is in a serious romantic relationship with someone whom he claims he cannot disclose publicly because of his past experiences.

The singer said those who know his current lover are only family members that are supposed to know her.

“I am not prepared to introduce my woman to the public. The past experiences taught me to keep my love life private,” Eddy Kenzo said during an interview on BBS TV.

Additionally, Kenzo revealed that when it comes to children, he doesn’t have only Aamaal and Maya Musuuza that the public know about. He said he has more children, including a son, but he also decided to keep them out of the media.

Eddy Kenzo believes that maintaining their privacy allows them to focus on their studies without the added pressure of being seen as celebrities.
