The Ugandan singer is embroiled in a court battle with event organizer Luba Events who successfully petitioned the court to block the singer from performing in Uganda.

Luba Events accuses Eddy Kenzo of breaching a contract.

The event organizer took Kenzo to court after they came to an agreement that Luba would organize his recently concluded ‘Eddy Kenzo Festival’ – an agreement the singer failed to honour.

Lube was contracted by Eddy Kenzo to organize his show in 202o but because of Covid-19 pandemic all public gatherings were banned. However, the singer agreed that the event organizer would host his gig in 2022 after Covid restrictions were lifted.

Eddy Kenzi however used another event organizer contrary to the agreement he had with Lube.

Lube moved to court and sued Eddy Kenzo for bleach of contract. The event organizer said they used millions of shillings to organize for his 2020 show.
