The Ugandan sensational singers who happen to be siblings; Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira emerged the winners of East Africa’s Got Talent (EAGT) on September 11, 2019, took to social media to explain that they are yet to receive the winning price of $50,000.

The Mutesasiras who beat two acts from Uganda; Dance Alliance Network (DNA) and Jehovah Shalom Acapella in the finale to walk away with $50,000 took to social media to lament on why the organizers are yet to wire the money they won two years ago.

The siblings shared that they don’t have any explanations so far on why the money hasn’t been wired to them to this day despite them winning the debut EAGT fair and square two years ago.

“It’s you that Did Vote for Us, we had lost hope but by God’s grace, we Won EAGT competitions. TODAY we still haven’t received the Winner’s Prize Money It’s very Sad. 2 years of wait.

Hey, Beloved ones, we are beyond frustrated, we writing this to seek speedy resolution to the delayed release of East Africa Has Got Talent $50,000 cash prize that was supposed to be given to us the winners!” Ezekiel And Esther Mutesasira wrote in part on Facebook.

The duo went further to disclose that they meant no harm in revealing their truth about not receiving the prize money even after 2 long years.

“Don’t get us wrong it’s been such an amazing experience, very humbling, inspiring other young kids and all the amazing people we’ve met along the way!

While we appreciate the platform EAGT gave us, it’s their duty as well to fulfill the promises, This is a serious concern to us as the funds are delayed, no one from EAGT has reached out like you recall, we promised to donate some of the money to different charities and wouldn’t want to make empty promises! Sorry, we had to shed some light on this.

Guys what do you think we should do?” they added on social media.

There hasn’t been a rejoinder or an official statement released by the organizers of EAGT addressing the issue raised by the Mutesasira.
