Drake’s home in his native Canada was among dozens that were flooded after Toronto was hit by a violent storm on Tuesday July 16, 2024.

The storm’s impact was so severe that even Drake’s luxurious mansion didn’t escape unscathed.

The rapper took to Instagram Stories to share the aftermath, revealing at least one floor of his Toronto estate completely flooded.

Despite the extensive damage, Drake managed to keep his sense of humor, joking about the water’s brown tint by comparing it to an Espresso Martini.

“This better be Espresso Martini,” he quipped, as he filmed another person attempting to keep the water at bay with a broom.

Environment Canada reported nearly four inches of rain fell in Toronto due to the convergence of three separate storms, breaking the city’s rainfall record set in 1941.

Local meteorologist Dave Phillips explained, “We had 25 percent more rain in three hours than we’d have normally in the whole month of July with all the thunderstorms and systems that moved through.”

Fortunately, the worst seems to be over, with no significant rain expected to accumulate for the rest of the day.

While residents, including Drake, face a daunting cleanup, the storm has finally passed, allowing Toronto to begin its recovery
