Deputy President William Samoei Ruto just won over a lot of Kenyans with his recent gesture.
The second in command met Mama Elizabeth Mueni a fortnight ago where she sold him some green maize, a photo that Mama Elizabeth has framed and placed inside her house(she came with the actual photo).
Sharing on social media, Deputy President William Samoei Ruto commended Mama Elizabeth for her hard work, devotion, and persistence to make sure that she provides for her family in every way she knows through her small business.
Impressed by her tenacity, DP Ruto promised to make sure that her dream comes true after meeting up with her in person stressing that she’s a pure example of what the bottom-up economic approach means that advocates for delivering empowerment to women like Mama Elizabeth in our communities countrywide.
Deputy President William Ruto also promised to always keep in touch with her.
“Mama Elizabeth Mueni, a hardworking green maize hawker in Machakos Town radiates warmth. We met two weeks ago when I bought green maize from her roadside stall. She visited me today and shared her story; a story of persistence, hard work, and devotion.
Mama Mueni’s dream is to give her two children a different life- a good life.
This is exactly what the bottom-up economic model is about; delivering empowerment to Kenyans like Mama Elizabeth.
It was such a pleasure meeting Elizabeth again. We agreed to keep talking, and that both of us will keep fighting for her dream to come true.
May God Bless Mama Mueni, her family, her Hustle, and all hustlers in Kenya #EveryHustleMatters Kazi ni Kazi.” Deputy President William Samoei Ruto shared on Facebook.
