Steph Kapela was introduced to the music industry a couple of years back as a singer who knew what he was singing about and the ladies loved him for that to this day, he still has a loyal fanbase of women who loves his voice, his good looks, and his signature beard and a beanie(I just had to include that, he really looks good rocking them) that makes their knees buckle just from the sight of it.
What we didn’t know however, that came as a surprise to most of us, is the fact that he could rap as well, I mean, what! even that was a first for all of his fans. We finally had our very own Drake who could sing as well as he could rap.
Steph Kapela went on to open for not only Big Shaq and WSTRN but he also opened for Mufasa himself, Cassper Nyovest when eleven months back when he came to the country for his TSR Festival.
Steph released his installment of powerful rap under his ‘Free Steph EP’ dubbed ‘Exposure’ after releasing ‘Too Easy’ just a couple of months back.
If ever there was a record that would cement Steph Kapela as a true rapper in the Kenyan scene without a shadow of doubt is ‘Exposure’ and if you are reading this and you need to support a Kenyan versatile artiste, I’d bet Steph Kapela to be your first choosing.
Let’s agree not most rappers can easily sing and rap as seamlessly as Steph Kapela does.
On his verses, he raps about King Kaka and Khaligraph Jones wanting to work with him on their projects, but then again who wouldn’t want to work with such a talent. As Steph gears up to release the much-anticipated debut Album ‘The Prodigal African’ Exposure gives a taste of what’s to come.
On this one, let me let you see the greatness of an artiste Steph Kapela truly is on his ‘Exposure’ record. Stream it below
