“I used to eat full chicken while stuck in traffic” DK Kwenye Beat narrates his struggle with obesity

Musician DK Kwenye Beat has admitted that he became obese because he was an excessively greedy eater particularly when it came to chips and chicken.

DK said he used to weigh as much as 120 kilos at the time when he was binge eating fast food.

Speaking in an interview with Dr Ofweneke, DK revealed that he used to eat a lot of junk food.

The musician said he used to frequent fast food restaurants within Nairobi CBD where he would buy full chicken and two plate-full of chips which he would eat in traffic while heading home.

DK said he would get home and still eat whatever had been prepared even after devouring a full chicken with its bones and two plates of chips.

“I used to buy a full chicken and two chips and eat them in my car during traffic. I would still eat more food when I get home,” DK revealed during the candid interview.

He was inspired to lose weight after Former Starehe Member of Parliament Charles Kanyi alias Jaguar, who happens to be his mentor and friend, lectured him over his weight.

Jaguar told DK that too much weight was making him look bad. He started watching over his weight by dieting.

DK said he has managed to lose 32 kgs. He now weighs 88 Kgs down from 120 Kgs.

He never stepped into the gym to lose weight. He lost weight by observing his diet.

DK said he now fells lighter after losing weight.
