DJ Mo opened up about his love story with Size 8, narrating how abject poverty could not stop them from falling in love.
The mix master said that at the time he decided to seduce Size 8, she was still a secular artiste when he was a gospel DJ.
The two met at a concert organized by the Safaricom communication company and at that time DJ Mo was just beginning to emerge while Size 8 was a big name in the arts.
DJ Mo has also revealed that his wife never asked him for money during their relationship.
“Size 8 was staying in South B and I was living in Githurai 45. He used to visit me, cook for me and go back to her place,” DJ Mo said during a conversation with Oga Obinna.
“The house I lived in had a monthly rent of 6,000 and sometimes I could not pay it,” he added.
DJ Mo said that in spite of his financial situation, Size 8 decided to marry him.
Mo had his breakthrough in the industry and ultimately kissed goodbye to poverty.
