Rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of f drugging and sexually assaulting a university student just days after RnB singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura leveled similar allegations against him.
In the latest lawsuit, Diddy is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting the university student way 32 years ago in 1991.
The new lawsuit was filed in a New York court on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
The suit claims that Diddy intentionally drugged and sexually assaulted Joi Dickerson-Neal, who was a Syracuse University student visiting New York City at the time of the alleged incident in January 1991.
The 54-year-old rapper is also accused of videotaping the alleged crime and distributing the tape to others in the music industry.
“The sexual assault, and public exposure of it, caused her to suffer overwhelming feelings of humiliation, embarrassment, violation, and constant apprehension about who all viewed it,” lawyers for Ms Dickerson-Neal wrote in the complaint.
Dickerson-Neal is seeking unspecified compensatory damages for mental and emotional injury, distress, pain and suffering and injury to her reputation, according to the lawsuit.
A spokesperson for Diddy said Dickerson-Neal’s story was made up and not credible at all and that the rapper never assaulted her.
“This is purely a money grab and nothing more,” the spokesperson said in an email.
The lawsuit by Dickerson-Neal comes a week after he settled the lawsuit by his former girlfriend Cassie.
Cassie and Diddy reached a settlement last Friday November 17, 2023, one day after she accused him in a federal lawsuit of rape and years of abuse.
“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love,” Combs said in a statement.
Cassie filed the lawsuit accusing Diddy of raping her and subjecting her to years of repeated physical and other abuse.
In her lawsuit, Cassie said she was trapped for a decade by Diddy, her-ex-boyfriend, in a cycle of abuse and violence.
The rapper denied the allegations, accusing Cassie of trying to extort him.
His lawyer said the claims were “offensive and outrageous”.
Cassie alleged that Diddy raped and beat her over 10 years starting when she was 19 and he was 37.
“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story,” she said in a statement.
The lawsuit includes multiple graphic descriptions of the violent abuse that she says occurred beginning after she met the rapper in 2005.
According to Cassie, Diddy signed her to his record label, Bad Boy, and took advantage of her vulnerability to introduce her to drugs and alcohol, causing her to fall into dangerous addictions that controlled her life.
The lawsuit labelled Diddy as a serial domestic abuser who regularly beat and kick Cassie, leaving black eyes, bruises, and blood.
Diddy’s lawyer said Cassie demanded $30 million under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship.
It’s not known if Diddy paid Cassie for them to reach a settlement to terminate the lawsuit.
