”I bet y’all remember when he came out, around 2013 and a new era of gospel artists was born. He was young, had a story to tell and a pair of vocal cords to march. His story was no different, a young lad from the projects who had gone through hell and who adored his mother who had since passed away. He had bred new hope for a lot of young people in the slums.
Mama, his first single was music to the ear and soon enough were all definitely hooked. As I came to find out however, something else was happening in Bahati’s life behind the scenes; he was falling in love. The lass making the kid go all gaga goes by the name Yvette or Kisha as she’s popularly known in gospel circles. She was quite the looker this one, smooth espresso skin, well articulated jaw line and curves that would give Huddah Monroe a run for her money.
As my source further illustrated, she was a gospel groupie as there are known in those circles and was actually a friend to the girlfriend of another renowned gospel artiste who chose to remain anonymous. She never missed any of Bahati’s concerts and she always made him chuckle with her witty jokes so late in 2013 when Bahati won artist of the year, they moved in together. By then the money had started rolling in, he could now afford pizza and a pair of Air Max sneakers.
As it is the case in any relationship, it was rosy from the beginning. She continued making him laugh and he continued buying more Air Max’s until when she allegedly got pregnant. Come on, you surely didn’t expect the kid not to be flexing the D? Well, he is only human and like many of you, he was hitting it RAW.
That’s when things took a different turn and headed south faster than a socialites knickers. Kisha was keen on keeping the baby but Bahati was hearing none of it. There is no way an image he had worked so hard to build was going to be whisked away under the carpet. I mean, he was starting to get accepted, getting recognition and now he could afford shower shampoo. Would you let that escape you even if you were him? Would you let the whole world which was utterly convinced that you only use your wiener to pee be that disappointed in you? Of course not….so he allegedly convinced the lass to procure an abortion which she hesitantly agreed. According to my source, she was promised exclusivity this time something she had been desperately yearning for.
That was done and they settled on moving on. Soon enough they were happy again and they had managed to put everything behind them. Plus they could not only now spell lasagna but they could have it on a regular; I mean money was not a problem. As it is always the case, after good food always comes good coitus which as I was made to understand was again RAW. Surely they hadn’t learnt but who can blame them, they were young and wild and indeed living the Kenyan dream. They even owned a car now!
Again nature took its course and Kisha was allegedly pregnant again and this time she was intent on keeping it. “At whose expense and under whose reputation?” argued Bahati. Definitely not his as he had now metamorphosed into a gospel demigod; good boy with a clean heart and a passion to evangelize. By then he was scoring interviews in major shows like Churchill live and he had his own fanatical following transversing across Kenya. He was not about to let them down, so he allegedly suggested another abortion. This time Kisha didn’t not budge so he chased her out of the house. At this juncture things were really getting out of hand so their friends decided to intervene. Things were getting really grotesque and the leakage of such a story would spell doom for the whole gospel fraternity. After much negotiations, it was settled that kisha allegedly procure another abortion as Bahati’s whole career was at stake.
She did alright but things were not the same between the two; this was sometime in 2014 I was made to understand. They continued living together, Bahati continued buying more shoes but things were not the same; the love was surely gone. So after much trying and draining emotional turmoil, the two broke up sometime in 2015 and Kisha left Bahati’s house. Now here is the shocking thing, soon after she left, she was pregnant again and she bore a child this time. A lot of people suspected it was Bahati’s something I was told he vehemently denies.
I carried out my due diligence and called the Yvette and according to her, Bahati and her were just really good friends back in the day and nothing of that intensity was going on between the two. Not once had they even chilled out together and all the allegations were just pure lies orchestrated by people just out to tarnish her name. According to her, she didn’t understand where all the rumours were coming from as the last time she spoke to Bahati was two years ago as she is happily married now and she doesn’t have a kid. I asked her about a picture she had posted on instagram which surprisingly is taken in Bahati’s parking lot and she hesitantly said that her friend happened to reside in the same apartment as Bahati. What a coincidence?
Bahati on the other hand speaking to one of the Ghafla columnists denied the allegations and insisted that this was also part of a ploy to finish him and he definitely knew the culprits. He did not have any involvement with the said girl and he would soon expose these two people.
Which brings me to the most important part of this whole story; who exactly is telling the truth and what exactly is happening to Kenya’s gospel industry?” GHAFLA KENYA asks..
Well, after reading this piece, I had to go out and get a drink…it couldn’t be real, Bahati?Hell no!but as the saying goes, still waters run deep, no one is ever clean, possibly this is real or even a made up item.
They say,where there is smoke, there is fire!Fire which will burn these kids in the Gospel industry if things take up the shape they are taking currently, are they even saved?
The scandals coming out of the church today, is reason enough for one to faint and die?and it’s now spilling out to music to shows to concerts to everywhere!God save us!
Who would agree, such allegations ever happened..NOBODY!
