Everybody is a musician now huh!?
Diana Marua is a beautiful soul with good intentions in her heart and she’s bound and destined to reach greater heights in her philanthropist endeavors, being a sought-after brand ambassador and of course, being a successful YouTuber.
However, what she’s not and it’s out there for the whole world to see is that she’s not a musician, she’s not a songwriter, she’s not an artiste and she should accept that, at least until she gets some genuine mentorship.
Diana Marua who christened herself as the Queen of AfroRap was recently unveiled as the newest signee of Bahati’s EMB(Eastlands Most Beloved) signed artiste, this was quickly followed up by the release of her debut single dubbed ‘Hatutaachana’ where she showcases her “rapping” skills on the record.
Well, if you love her, and you’re her dear friend and family of hers who she can listen to, please be kind enough to tell her that she cannot rap and if she’s still adamant about pursuing the mirage of her rap career, then you should at least advice her to get some mentorship from already established female rappers in the rap game at the moment such as; Fena Gitu, Stella Mwangi, Femi One, Maandy, Ssaru even Nazizi the First Lady who can give her some few pointers on how to be a serious rap artiste in the game because as of now, the only good thing about her ‘Hatutaachana’ song is the music video, nothing else.
You can watch the ‘Hatutaachana’ music video with the volume off and it won’t make any difference if you were to watch the same video with the volume on.
Her latest song ‘Hatutaachana’ might bring in some streaming numbers on YouTube thanks to the first-class music video which had an impressive budget, clearly and evidently but it won’t bring in huge numbers because she’s a good singer or a rapper, no, the numbers will come from her loyal followers and curious netizens who want to see her first body of work as a musician.
Not everybody was meant to be a singer and/or even a rapper and being married to one doesn’t automatically make you an artiste or even a music prospect.
The song is wack! whoever says anything different does not know anything about music, about good, quality, and authentic music.
It’s actually surprising the record was recorded, approved, and released by the record producer and the EMB management in the first place.
The lyrics might subtly make sense but the delivery is way off, the rhyming is way off, she’s forcing it and the saddest part is that she’s rapping as an upcoming teenager aspiring to be a rapper would.
Whoever wrote those lyrics ill-advised her because she sure sounds as if she’s gunning for upper echelon celebrities attacking them for no apparent reason.
For instance, she throws subliminal jabs at Harmonize and Kajala and Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and his ex-partner Lilian Ng’ang’a’s relationships in the first verse just so she can try to rhyme on the record in an effort to stress the love she has for her husband Bahati.
Bahati, I know you mean well for your dear wife, Diana Marua but she should just stick to cooking, vlogging, and being a philanthropist and a brand ambassador because she’s totally good maybe perfect at it but it doesn’t mean that she can sing or even rap just become you own a record label.
Diana B, it’s nothing but love but you’re a wack rapper!
In case you haven’t watched the debut song ‘Hatutaachana’ which is a refix to Bahati’s hit song ‘Mtaachana Tu’ as performed by Diana Marua launching her as a serious artiste, well, feel free to stream the same below;
