Veteran Bongo movies actress Irene Uwoya has started her own church after what she terms as receiving a calling from God.
The actress, who in the past two years has been showing signs of changing her lifestyle and separation from worldly life, has finally made it clear that she has accepted the call to serve God.
The actress claims she has responded to God’s call to be saved and become a shepherd to spread the word.
Uwoya through his Instagram page published a picture with the logo of the name that is assumed to be that of her new church that she plans to launch soon.
The church is aptly named ‘Friends of God Ministry’.
Uwoya went further and used the logo as her profile picture on Instagram, a sign that she has decided to serve the church and not otherwise.
“Baba nimeitika…” Irene Uwoya wrote.
A year ago, Uwoya showed signs of keeping close to the church after receiving an official invitation to attend a women’s meeting at a church.
The pastor of the church by the name of Bishop Geography Bendera on his Instagram page announced that women are a great army and so that particular Sunday his church located in Morogoro had a special service to celebrate women and also to mark 8 years since he started the ministry.
“Wamama ni jeshi kubwaaaa, Jumapili hii mama wa Ufunuo Morogoro, wana jambo Lao, wakiwa na mwanamama mchapa kazi,mjasiriamali,super women @ireneuwoya8 kama mgeni rasmi,” aliandika askofu Bendera.,” wrote Bishop Bendera.
Before turning over a new leaf, Irene Uwoya was deeply entrenched in the secular world and its trappings. She dated men galore including playboy Diamond Platnumz.
