Diamond Platnumz completely cut off mzee Abdul Juma shortly after he publicly revealed that his biological father was the late Salum Iddi Nyange.
Juma was very angry at Diamond and his mother Sanura Sandra Kassim alias Mama Dangote days after it was revealed that he was not the singer’s biological father.
Sometime in 2020, Diamond’s mother revealed that Abdul Juma was not her son’s biological father, saying that she got married to him while pregnant with her son.
Juma got so angry that he even demanded that Diamond should stop using his surname ‘Abdul’ since he was not his biological son.
Diamond’s estranged stepfather has now opened up about the difficulties he has been going through since his family disowned him.
Speaking during an interview with Simulizi na Sauti, Juma said he is a very bitter man after the rejection.
“One of the most painful things I have gone through is being removed from a family I depended on. I would never forget it at all,” he lamented.
Juma added that he had put all his hope in the family, but unfortunately, they rejected him.
“I was shunned and plunged into depression. Luckily, I found people who condoled with me and encouraged me,” he said.
Juma, however, stressed that he holds no grudge against Diamond or his mom, noting that had forgiven them.
“Forgiveness is important as it is even taught in religion. My parents forgave me, and I easily forgive. I have forgiven with my entire heart. I don’t have any grudge against anyone.”
