Diamond Platnumz was robbed of his favorite green cap in Dodoma and was forced to dispatch his security team to recover it.

The Wasafi boss, who was clad in a black outfit, a green cover-up shirt and a green cap to match, had been accompanied by his bodyguards as he was manoeuvering through the streets to his car when a fan snatched the green cap off his head.

Diamond immediately ordered one of his bodyguards Onesmo to do all it took to recover the cap, saying the cap had sentimental value to him and matched most of the outfits he was to wear.

“Onesmo kofia lazima ipatikane kwa sababu ina nguo nyingi. Yani nguo zangu karibu zote nilizokuja ndo navalia kofia hili. Sasa mimi navaaje leo ndo maanake? Onesmo, staki aje hotelini baki na huyo afwatane nayo kaitafute pekeake,” he stated.

Onesmo working with another person found the cap and returned it to Diamond at his hotel.

The Wasafi boss expressed relief noting that despite being cheap, the cap was of great value to him.

“Shukrani sana ndugu yangu maanake kofia nimekuja nayo jana, sio kama ya bei nyingi ni ya kawaida lakini…” He said.

Later while performing at Wasafi Festival in Dodoma on Saturday night December 2, 2023, Diamond told his fans not to steal his outfits, adding that if they ever want anything from him they should just ask him and he would give them.

Diamond went on to distribute free caps to fans who throned the arena for Wasafi Festival.

“Watu walishangaa sana mbona Simba kaivalue sana ile kofia. Unajua ni bora mtu aombe kitu umpe. Yani ukichukua kitu changu maanake unaona mi fala. Kamtuma mlinzi wangu moja Onesmo kamwambia Onesmo hakikisha usirudi hotelini mbaka umepata kofia. Kashirikiana na jamaa mmoja hivi kaipata kofia ile ikarudi,” Diamond said.

“Sisi wote humu marafiki sindio? Alafu mi mwana wenu mumenisupport tangia naanza hivi sindio? Kama kuna kitu umekiona ukakitaka niombe ntakupa. Leta kofia niwape, zilete hapa,” he added.
