Alikiba released a new album ‘Only One King’ after 10 years and it flopped!
Diamond Platnumz released his new EP ‘First of All’ on 11th March 2022 and it’s already a big success.
Alikiba’s latest 16-song album ‘Only One King’ was released on 7th October 2021, it features big names in the African music scene like Sarkodie, Sauti Sol, Nyashinski, Patoranking among others.

Alikiba and his team expected the album to be a huge commercial success given the features of the big names in the songs, but this was never to be.
Diamond Platnumz released his 10-song EP ‘First of All’ on 11th March 2022 and is dominating music streams everywhere with most of his songs downloaded and played by millions of fans across the world.
Diamond’s EP garnered over 30 million streams on iTunes, Spotify, and Boomplay music streaming sites.
His song has also dominated the top 10 YouTube trends.
Diamond Platnumz trashed Alikiba’s new album while speaking during an interview with Wasafi media saying ‘Only One King’ has one hit song ‘Utu’. He made a comparison between his EP which is a big success and Alikiba’s latest album which flopped.
“All my tens songs are a hit, someone has released an album that has flopped, there’s no hit[songs]. Alikiba has released his album and his song ‘Utu’ has hit.
Diamond Platnumz however maintained that he respects his music rival and only made the comparison to highlight his own success in music, stressing that hard work pays.
Alikiba’s record label Kings Music later took to social media to respond to Diamond’s criticism of the flopped ‘Only One King’ album.
“Kale ka-hit kamoja kutoka kwenye album ya #OnlyOneKing kakipigwa na international DJ” (That one hit from the album ‘Only One King’ being played by an international DJ),” wrote Kings Music.
