The self-proclaimed Simba who has lived up to that name since he’s an apex artiste in Africa today took to social media to disclose that he just signed a multi-million-dollar deal for a distribution deal with Mziiki.
Diamond Platnumz announced that he has signed a deal worth 5 million dollars (this translates to TShs. 11 billion) with Mziiki on his social media account yesterday, on April 9th, 2021.
“Today I signed a 5 Million Dollars Distribution deal with @Mziiki for my @Wcbwasafi_ Record Label… May God continue blessing our Bongo Fleva industry!” his tweet read.
The deal will see Mziiki distribute the entire WCB signed artistes’ music catalog for an undisclosed number of months and/or years.
This deal is an unprecedented one across the East Africa region, he’s actually the only African artiste who owns a record label who got a sweet deal from a distribution company.

This deal has proven without any reasonable doubt that Tanzania’s mainstream genre Bongo Flava is as huge as other genres across Africa and the entire globe.
Diamond Platnumz who is the founder and Managing Director of WCB Wasafi Record label, Wasafi Media, Zoom Extra and an investor in many other businesses who is also An MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act has helped put the Bongo Flava genre in the international mainstream music pedestal almost single-handedly.
