Diamond Platnumz has finally come clean on the issue of Rayvanny leaving his Wasafi label and why he didn’t feature him in his new EP.
The Wasafi CEO dropped his EP ‘First Of All’ featuring Wasafi heavyweights like Mbosso, Zuchu but not Rayvanny raising eyebrows considering rumors about their alleged strained relationship.
Speaking during an interview on Wasafi media, Diamond explained that Rayvanny and him have collaborated a lot in many songs so he didn’t see the need to feature him again in his EP.
Diamond also revealed that Rayvanny has been very busy with his solo projects which have seen him travel across the globe to perform.
The Wasafi CEO also addressed claims that Rayvanny wanted to leave his label but was stopped because he couldn’t afford to pay the sum that WCB was demanding to release him.
It was reported that Rayvanny was slapped with a whopping Tsh1 billion (Ksh50 million) compensation/severance fee for him to be released from Wasafi Classic Baby Record label.
According to popular Bongo media personality Mwijaku, Rayvanny was experiencing a rough time at Wasafi after Diamond’s legal team triggered the Ksh50 million compensation fee on his exit clause after Vanny Boy demanded to leave WCB.
Vanny Boy was reportedly told to pay Wasafi Ksh5o million so that WCB could allow him full rights ownership to the songs he did under the WCB record label (basically all of his songs have been recorded and produced by Wasafi).
Speaking to Wasafi media, Diamond dismissed the Tsh1 billion compensation demand stressing that at no time did Rayvanny demand to leave Wasafi.
The Wasafi boss insisted that Rayvanny was on good terms with the label, noting that he believes there will be no drama when a time comes for Vanny to leave WCB.
