Diamond Platnumz got the attention of social media after his recent video that he shared online via his Instagram account where he twengs in the English language for the very first time.
The celebrated, multiple award-winning musician from Tanzania took to social media a few days ago impressing netizens all over the world with his accent speaking in English.
The WCB founder and president of the conglomerate business empire explained once and for all in detail why he is considered to be Simba(Swahili for Lion) when it comes to music.
He picked up the moniker through his journey in the music industry that has seen him become an icon, a living legend in Africa, not only in Tanzania.
Showing off his newly acquired grillz that he bought in South Africa, Diamond Platnumz explained why he is the Simba and why he will continue to be one in the industry.
At the moment, there are only two notable “Lions” in Africa today; Diamond Platnumz’s “Simba”, and Cassper Nyovest’s “Mufasa”.
However, Diamond Platnumz finally got to explain why his fans call him Simba to begin with.
“The reason why they call me Simba is because I’m type of an aggressive person, I’m a go-getter! Whatever I want, I go get it, that’s the Lion’s spirit.
When I hunt, I’m hunting you[sic] wherever I want I go hunt it like I can come straight in your face like “yoh! I’m gonna take it” that’s how I am, that’s the reason they call me Simba! so like When I’m on the stage I’m taking your attention
and when I drop a song, I’m taking your attention.” Diamond Platnumz said in part in the short clip that he shared online.
“If it’s a heartbreaking song, I’m gonna make you cry, if it’s a dance song, you’re gonna dance. If it’s a party, chilling song for you to smoke, you’re gonna smoke when you’re listening to my song.
If I come to the stage, I come with that hard, like am dancing doing the moves that’s like, I got that Lion’s spirit like whatever I do, I keep it a 100%
Bro! I’m so aggressive, and that’s Lion’s spirit and that’s the reason why they call me Lion, Simba! Platnumz!” Diamond Platnumz added in the clip in American English’ accent.
The ‘Inama’ hitmaker also disclosed that he is working on his studio album that will be ready sooner rather than later showing off his bling bling telling his fans that he is in Zanzibar for an exclusive interview.
