Once again Diamond Platnumz has found himself in a furnace with a barrel of acid after he allegedly stole the beats of a song by a young Nigerian artiste Spyro.
On social networks, Nigerians have opened a floodgate of insults against the Tanzanian artiste, yelling at him because they said that his new song featuring Juma Jux ‘Enjoy’ sampled the beat of the song ‘Who’s Your Guy’ by Spyro featuring Tiwa Savage.
For those who know how to analyze music, you can largely agree with this claim that the beats part of Diamond’s song is no different from the rhythm of Spyro’s dance, which is why Nigerians have asked the artiste to delete the song before they take strict measures against him for copyright theft.
One even went further and mentioned some of Dimaond’s songs in which he sampled beats from Nigerian artistes.
“Several times Diamond has sampled the beats of Nigerian artists including Enjoy he stole from Spyro, Yataniua he stole from Asake, Jeje stole from Wizkid, Gidi stole from Burna Boy, and many others,” one wrote.
Others also said that the Bongo singer has nothing new but is just stealing the songs of his colleagues from West Africa.
However, other Nigerians seemed to take pride in the act saying that this shows that Diamond listens a lot to the songs of their musicians and thus gave him a compliment saying that it is the only way to show African unity to take Afrobeats far.
