Diamond Platnumz’s manager Sallam SK Mendez has expressed his gratitude after Mjini FM went back on air nearly a week after a fire outbreak.

Mjini FM temporarily suspended its broadcasting services after the fire gutted the studio and destroyed key media equipment.

The fire broke out on Friday, January 12, 2024, forcing the station to go off air until Thursday January 18, 2024.

In a statement on Thursday, Mendez,Ā who is also Mjini FM’s Executive Director, gladly announced the station was back on air.

He further thanked firemen and other people who did their best to salvage his radio station after the fire broke out.

Mendez launched Mjini FM in December 2022.

Diamond Platnumz and Mendez reportedly clashed after the laterĀ started his own radio station as it competed with Wasafi FM.
